GET AN IDEA OF HIRE AVAILABILITY

OVERVIEW

We don't provide online instant bookings because we are not offering standard hires that we want booked in mass volume.  Instead, we find that most customers initially prefer to have a quick chat or to ask some simple questions about what they are after, and to take advice on what may suit their particular circumstances and interests.

In the absence of having online bookings, it isn't feasible to display real time hire availability but it is possible to give you an indication of what hires may NOT be available on future dates due to certain factors that we become aware of such as:

  • Existing bookings - it doesnt happen often but we may be fully booked already on your date

  • Poor weather - and it's not just the chance of showers, rain or storms but also what the wind is expected to be doing on your date, including its strength and direction.  Our safety standards restrict us from hiring in winds close to or exceeding 20kph

  • Equipment availability - all our gear requires continual cleaning and maintenance, which is generally completed without impacting availablity but occassionally we may have a backlog due, for example, to recent poor weather or the recent completion of a large group hire or possibly requiring outside resources such as the technicians who service our powered craft

  • National Park closure - during or following a period of poor weather, including flooding rains and bushfires, its not uncommon for Qld Parks to close all access to national parks, often extending for days or even weeks to allow for damage assessment and repairs to be completed.  Qld Parks publish details of such closures relating to the Noosa Everglades area on their website here- look for Park Alerts or Warnings

  • Staff availability - it rarely happens but yes, we occassionally require leave for medical or other personal reasons, and this can affect our ability to offer hires at times
