PADDLE 'N' PICNIC

OVERVIEW

Lake Cootharaba and the Noosa Everglades offer a range of paddling adventures, with options for both beginners and experienced paddlers. While the Noosa Everglades are well-known for day and overnight trips, there are also lesser-known routes around Lake Cootharaba that are easier to access and navigate. These routes allow for flexible trip durations, from just an hour to full days, and are family-friendly.

Paddlers can enjoy activities like picnicking, swimming, hiking, and fishing along the way, with some routes offering secluded beaches and access to ancient creeks and hidden hiking trails. Overnight lakefront camping is also available.

Canoes and kayaks are available for casual hire from the lake foreshore area Boreen Point, and you can tailor your trip based on weather conditions and how much time you have. Contact us to book your adventure!

PRICES

For children sharing a canoe or kayak with adults, their price is only $20 each and a child's paddle will be provided if requested

AVAILABILITY & LOCATION

Paddle'N Picnic canoe and kayak hire operates year-round from Boreen Point, subject to weather conditions and other operational factors.

Our designated launch site is located on the foreshore of Lake Cootharaba, just opposite 16 Boreen Parade, Boreen Point—only a short walk south of the Coffee Tribe Café. Look out for our sign in the parkland. If you're unsure where to go, just give us a call.

We strongly recommend booking in advance, as we may not operate every day or all day, depending on conditions and bookings. That said, if you're making last-minute plans, feel free to contact us to check current availability and weather conditions.

We open from sunrise and encourage early hires to take advantage of the calmer morning conditions, when wind is typically at its lowest.
