Get on the water in our brand new hire runabouts

Today we have taken delivery of our brand new SMARTWAVE 4.2m runabouts, and will have them available for hire within 10 days after fitout and commissioning has been completed.

These boats are manufactured in NZ and were designed by Scott Robson, one of New Zealand’s best boat designers, and were selected by us on the basis of their enhanced safety, comfort and handling as compared to traditional aluminium-hull tinnies.

Other specific characteristics of the SMARTWAVE boats that we like include:

• 5-passenger capacity

• Does not require the hirer or driver to hold a boating license - speed limited to no more than 10 knots, or just under 20kph

• Offers a smoother and quieter ride due to the heavier double-skinned polyethylene hull

• Padded seats for all passengers

• Supportive backrests on most seats

• Flat and carpetted floor

• Under-seat storage

• Bimini top overhead for sun and weather protection

• Solid handrails around the top edge of the boat

• Self-draining anchor storage well built into the bow (neat and out of the way)

• Powered by new Suzuki fuel-efficient outboard motor

Our runabouts can be used to explore the Noosa River and lakes system far and wide, from Boreen Point on Lake Cootharaba and downstream to Tewantin and Noosaville, and upstream through the Noosa Everglades to as far as Camp Site 3. To see all of this area would take you a few days!
